My Teaching Philosophy

As a teacher, I will inspire my students and motivate them. So that learning at school don’t become a burden for them but instead a pleasure and fun environment.
Education should not be limited to the curriculum but it should go beyond that. The role of a teacher should not be limited to school or preparing students for exams. It should aim at preparing them to be successful in the society. Therefore, I will share knowledge and ideas that are going to help them in the future. Academic education is important but general knowledge also is as much important. The more a student will acquire knowledge about the society and the environment, the more intelligent he will be and he will be more motivated to know more. Thus, he will give more effort at school. For this reason, I will always keep them inform about things occurring around them in this world. This will increase their ability to link ideas and think critically.

My students will be my main priority and I am aware that each of them has different level. I believe that by creating a student-centered learning, my students will be able to take charge of their own learning with little assistance from the teacher. This will inculcate a sense of responsibility in them in terms of achieving their learning goal. Thus, inspiring them and making them work harder. As a teacher, one of my roles would be to coach and facilitate them throughout the learning process by providing information and giving useful guidelines in order for them to achieve their learning target.

I will make use of new technological teaching aids where students will be learning through the latest technological tools. For example the use of Sankore and its various tools will contribute enormously for the slow learners to have their interests and attention. I have a vision to make school a place where technologies become the main medium for learning. I will adopt new software for learning. I have a vision to see that students using mini laptop or tactile screens  with all the learning software in it. Teachers themselves making use of the computerized system for recording and monitoring of performances. This going to happen sooner or later. Its just a matter of time.

All teachers having a common site where teachers sharing their knowledge and their best practices. All resources and educational tools are available for any standard and chapters in a very systematic way. The site will enable teachers to consult  online psychologists and other professional bodies to find solutions for their problems. One Network where all teachers and personnel of the Ministry of Education are connected. Minimizing of paperwork and everything available in soft copies. For instance the teachers guide and books.

We are just in the beginning of a technological era in our education system. There is still a long way to go.
